The Chardonnay “Platt & Pignat” presents itself aiming high and yet down-to-earth. The Unterganznerhof winery succeeds in making a Chardonnay that gives its terroir an unmistakable taste. Alluvial soil, porphyry and glacial gravel translate into a strong yellow-green with exotic scents of banana and pineapple. The Chardonnay hits the palate full-bodied with harmonious minerality and says goodbye with a pleasantly long-lasting finish.

Did you know: The name "Platt & Pignat" is made up of the Platt and Pignater vineyards of the Unterganznerhof. The Platt site is characterized by porphyry soils and offers ideal conditions for Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Cabernet and Lagrein. The Pignater site is characterized by numerous hours of sunshine, good ventilation and strong temperature fluctuations. The perfect mix for exciting wines!

Vinification: Destemming and gentle pressing of the grapes. Degumming of the must for 24 hours by sedimentation. Subsequent fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled fermentation temperature of 20°C.
Expansion: In stainless steel tanks without acid degradation and at a cool temperature; Filtration before bottling.
