Elegant Chianti Colli Senesi from San Gimignano
Chianti Colli Senesi is the perhaps lesser known Chianti region, next to the Chianti Classico, but you get a lot of wine for the money here.
Il Palagione's Caelum is named after a constellation in the southern hemisphere, which one could say represents heavenly indulgence.
At least it arouses certain associations that are quite justified. A classic, yet powerful Chianti made from Sangiovese as it should be. Beautiful berry aromas, lots of sour cherry and cherries, plus mineral notes shaped by the soil and a delicately noticeable aroma of used, large wood. A very round and harmonious red wine that goes great with food, but can stand up as a soloist without any problems.
Definitely a lot of wine and a lot of Tuscany for the money. AND: ORGANIC
A really great accompaniment to pizza or pasta.
But also great with: traditional Tuscan dishes, cold cuts and pork or game main courses, red meat, rabbit and lamb dishes, young to medium-aged cheeses.
