Authentic terroir of Priorat.

Terroir is more than the sum of altitude, soil and fruit. It is also a prism to focus skill and intention. A beautiful blend of local grape varieties, Terra de Cuques Negre captures the complex soul of the Torroja terroir. The Carignan grown in Llicorella determines the structure, backbone and acidity, while the Grenache, born in Clay, gives the elegant expression of red fruits. The organically cultivated vines are between 25 and 40 years old and grow at an altitude of 300 to 400 metres. The fruit is harvested by hand, whole bunches are fermented and then left more or less alone before being transferred to fuder and cement for 14 months.

True to its origin and signature, Terra de Cuques enchants with its warm and supple nature. Rich black and red fruits are reminiscent of the many hours of sunshine. But a cooling wind also pervades the wine, as does a fine, persistent acidity and a fresh herbal essence. Wonderfully juicy, balanced and expressive, an unpretentious wine that simply tells the fluid story of a place and a people and a time.
