Passopisciaro - THE Etna Rosso ... MUST HAVE ...

Franchetti Rosso is Passopisciaro's flagship and a stunningly perfect wine. The grapes come from 1000 meters high northern Etna vineyards, where the soils consist of ash and pumice.

With this wine, Franchetti is striving for a pleasure that shows Mount Etna and its character from a completely new perspective. His personal interpretation of an Etna wine was revived a few years ago in the form of the Passopisciaro Franchetti. The cuvée offers Petit Verdot and Cesanese d'Affile the opportunity to complement and enhance each other.

"The Franchetti is a unique specimen that perfectly interprets the high-altitude volcanic soil. Power, structure and then such a linear concentration of aromas: deep scent of black cherries, plums, orange zest and mint. Then comes a clear minerality. Dark ones appear on the palate Chocolate and blueberry flavored with fresh tarragon A great wine to know from Etna." VINUM

"Dark ruby red with a delicately lightening edge. In the nose of ripe heart cherries, paired with cold smoke, mulberries and freshly roasted coffee and a hint of Ras-el-Hanout. Extremely polished and compact on the palate, juicy tannin opens, powerful and with a lot Finesse, keeps coming back, dense, long and balanced." FALSTAFF
