Picpoul de Pinet the only exclusive white wine origin of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It matures rather late, which is not a problem in the warm climate of southern France.
In the AOP Picpoul de Pinet he occupies about 1500 hectares and produces a very fresh, racy wine with a distinctive acidity and sometimes neutral but radiant fruit.
The grape of the Picpoul Blanc grape variety gives a floral wine. They have a lemony, fresh aroma and are considered to be of higher quality than their red counterpart, the Picpoul Rouge.
The Picpoul de Pinet from Hecht & Bannier matures on the adjacent vineyards of the Etang de Thau. The vines face the sea and benefit from a comparatively cool terroir. This mild Mediterranean climate over the summer preserves the acidity in the grapes. As a late-ripening variety, the Piquepoul de Pinet benefits from the Mediterranean climatic conditions. You will receive the aromas until the harvest at the end of September or beginning of October.
